June 4th, 2020

To our dear patients at Park Slope Dental,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to getting back to the “new normal”. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: at Park Slope Dental we are focused on and committed to your health and safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our infection control protocols have been designed with uncompromised safety and concern for the comfort of our patients.

The recommendations that guide us in our protocols are based on our careful review of the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We are in constant review of the updates that are coming forth from these agencies and will be readjusting the protocols as they are issued.

As such, we would like to share with you what to expect at your next visit.

  • Our office will provide you with screening questions. and ask recent history.
  • Please come to the office wearing a mask.
  • Only the patients should arrive for the appointment. No extra family members
  • One parent should accompany children to their appointments
  • You can call us to tell us you are here, or walk in to sign in if you see the waiting room is empty. If we are not ready to take you in, please adhere to social distancing.
  • We will have temperature checks for our staff and patients when you enter the office.
  • We will have true HEPA air purifiers in every room of the office, including waiting room.
  • We have hand sanitizer & disinfectant wipes that will be available to you to use when you enter the office by the receptionist, restrooms and operatories.
  • Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, childrens toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
  • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time. Please bear with us as we all adjust to this new normal.
  • We have upgraded our credit card terminal to be contactless for everyone’s safety.

To make an appointment, please call our office718-499-5323 or email us at [email protected]

Thank you for being our patient. We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

Sincerely,
